Livestock guardian dog specialist in Irasburg

Ranger's Guardian Dogs is a veteran-owned business in Irasburg founded by Mark J Buckley, a retired U.S. Army Ranger and war veteran. It breeds Central Asian Shepherd livestock guardian dogs (LGDs), including the Turkmen Alabai, and offers LGD training, puppy socialization, stud services and consulting for livestock owners, farmers and homeowners who want to protect their animals, land and families.

Training and consulting

Mark describes his approach as traditional, highly structured livestock guardian dog training, socialization and care, built on his military background and hands-on experience with his own guardian dogs and others'. A private 60-minute one-on-one consultation covers LGD training, breeding, the history and origins of the breeds, puppy socialization tips, dietary recommendations and open questions, for $60.
