Positive training for southern New Hampshire

Wagging Tail Academy is a dog training business serving Nashua along with Hollis, Brookline, Amherst, Merrimack, Milford, Bedford and surrounding southern New Hampshire towns. Trainer Maribeth Lazich says that in 2005 she left high tech to become a full time dog trainer. She uses positive reinforcement and very gentle techniques, and states plainly that owners looking for a choke, prong or electric collar should look elsewhere.

Classes and programs

Private sessions take place in clients' homes or wherever a behavior needs work, and she can also work exclusively with the dog for busy owners. Group classes meet at Cloud K9 in Merrimack. As an evaluator for the American Kennel Club she teaches STAR Puppy, Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine classes, and as an evaluator for the APDT C.L.A.S.S. program she teaches Bachelor, Master and PhD levels. She is a Certified Trick Dog Instructor and Evaluator for the Do More With Your Dog! program, with courses from Novice to Expert Trick Dog. Three times a year she runs an intensive 8 week Reactive-to-Rover program for dogs that struggle around other dogs, and she evaluates therapy dogs for Therapy Pets Unlimited.
