About Pet Utopia,

What they offer

Pet Utopia is a grooming shop on Water Street in Gardiner that also offers dog behavior coaching. The owner uses one calm-energy approach on the grooming table, on the leash and at home, and works with pets and their people together.

Calm dog coaching

Coaching sessions are one-on-one, held at Pet Utopia by appointment and booked separately from grooming. They help puppies and young dogs learn calmness and self-control, boundaries, cooperative handling, confidence and how to settle at home, and they teach owners leash work, handling and calming techniques to use afterward. The site describes this as different from traditional obedience training. Session length varies with the dog, and most cases are handled in one visit.

Grooming

Grooming covers dogs and cats, with low-stress handling and skin and coat care.
