About Bessey’s Positive Paws

What they offer

Bessey's Positive Paws is a family-owned training business in Whitefield that describes itself as force-free, fear-free and judgment-free. Its founder has nearly 20 years of experience training dogs and holds the CPDT-KA certification.

Private training

Private training is offered in person or virtually and is built around a customized plan for problems such as greeting people and dogs politely, chasing the family cat and coming when called. Programs include text and email support between lessons and access to a private membership group. New clients start with a free discovery call.

Online courses

Self-paced courses include a puppy course on potty training and puppy biting, and a mini course on why dogs bark and how to teach a better response.

Approach

Training combines classical conditioning and clicker training with positive reinforcement, using family-friendly methods that children and adults can use.
