About Eshod Farm and Kennel

What they offer

Eshod Farm and Kennel is a sporting dog kennel on Moody Mountain Road in Searsmont, home to its English cockers, German shorthaired pointers and Irish setters. Alongside its breeding program it trains dogs of all breeds, and private lessons are offered with its trainer, Kim.

Training

Puppy training is a one-month introduction for young dogs, covering basic obedience and an introduction to birds and guns before they return for further training later. Gun dog training works toward a dog that is steady to wing and shot, handles kindly in the field and retrieves shot game, and flushing dog training covers obedience, flushing and retrieving. For owners who want to compete, the kennel trains toward field championship titles.

Obedience

All-breed obedience training is offered to make a companion dog easier to live with, and the site says programs are adjusted to fit each owner's guidelines.
