About The Balanced K-9
Behavior-focused training in Bridgeport
The Balanced K-9 is a Bridgeport dog training service led by Luciana Von Breitenbach, the owner and head dog trainer. Its focus is aggressive and reactive dogs, and it describes a method that has helped over 500 dogs "Find Peace, Joy, and Safety — Without Harsh Methods." The philosophy is that dogs need structure and exercise to live a balanced, calm existence. Free consultations are offered.
Programs
Private Dog Training builds a solid foundation of sit, down, place, heel and recall. Phone or video consultations run 60 minutes, and in-person behavior consultations take place in your home or another setting you choose. Board-and-train options include a 3 weeks puppy program for basic obedience, a 4 week Behavior Modification I program for minor issues like jumping, mouthing and counter surfing, a 6 week Intensive Behavior Modification II program for human or dog aggression, bite history, resource guarding, separation anxiety and leash reactivity, and an 8 week program for the most intense cases. All programs assume a veterinarian has evaluated the dog first.
