Phil's Dog Training is an in-home dog training business based in Plainville and serving Central Connecticut. Phil makes housecalls, training dogs where they live and where most behavior issues take place, without the distraction of other dogs.

Services

Basic Training teaches heel, sit, stay, come, down, leave it, off and no. Once a dog can do all the basic commands on a verbal instruction, Advanced Training moves on to silent commands and then agility, competition training, search and rescue, tracking and therapy training. Behavior problem work covers jumping, barking, obsessive licking, mouthing, pulling on walks and anxiety, and Phil also helps with show training.

Background

Phil started training with his own German Shepherd as a boy and entered him in obedience shows, later ran training classes for a veterinarian, and has worked alongside trainer Bruce Giannett ever since.
