Beach Dawg Care is a solo dog walking, pet sitting and dog training business run by Derrick in Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors. The name honors his late dog Tankie, known as "Beach Dawg." He describes an LGBTQ+ affirming service and a calm, Zen-like atmosphere, drawing on his work as a registered yoga and meditation teacher.

Services

Derrick offers one-on-one dog training sessions, private walks (no pack walks; dogs walk alone or with a dog from the same home) and pet sitting in the client's home. No behavioral assessment or spay and neuter requirement applies, and medication can be given at no extra fee. He is bonded and insured through PSA, background checked, certified in pet first aid and CPCR, a Pet Sitters International member, and a member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce and the Wilton Manors Business Association. He also runs community wellness programs, including yoga and meditation for healing.
