About Paws-itively Obedient

Paws-itively Obedient is a dog training school owned and operated by Valli and Rick Rovenolt, located on Route 44 between McEwensville and Turbotville, Pennsylvania. The training runs from a purpose-built, heated and fully matted facility (originally built in 2004) with a second training building added in 2011 to expand class offerings, allowing classes to run year round.

Classes and Programs

The school offers a broad slate of group classes including puppy classes, obedience, agility, rally, scent work / K9 Nose Work, and the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. Private instruction and behavior consultations are also available and can support training for agility, obedience and rally at any level.

Training Approach

Instruction is based on positive reinforcement techniques, with instructors teaching owners to resolve problem behaviors by understanding their dogs' needs and communication. Puppy work emphasizes the formative 2-to-6-month window, helping dogs build confidence by earning rewards for correct behavior.
