About Xcaliber Dog Training

Board and train in a family home

Xcaliber Dog Training is a San Antonio board and train company at 6403 Ignacio Ct, founded by Mitchell and Raegan Adcock, whose combined background spans work as a veterinary technician, working dog trainer and pet trainer. Mitchell, the owner and trainer, joined the Marine Corps at 17, served as a military police officer, became a Military Working Dog handler and later a Military Working Dog Trainer in Texas before launching his own company.

Method and programs

Xcaliber describes balanced training: holding dogs accountable while reinforcing positive behaviors. Board and train dogs stay with the family, spending their days in training sessions, structured social play and home routines, with overnight kennel time limited to rest and safety. The 1-Week On-leash Obedience Program ($1,400) is for puppies 6 months and under; the 3-Week Advanced Obedience Program ($3,800) adds off-leash reliability, distraction-proofing and e-collar work; and the 5-Week Gold Standard Package ($7,000) adds Canine Good Citizen testing and environmental training at places like airports and crowds. An Aggression Rehabilitation Program starts at $7,000.

Graduate support

Graduates and their owners are invited to Monthly Maintenance Walks on the first Saturday of each month.
