About Best Paw Forward

What they offer

Best Paw Forward has helped dogs and families in the Coachella Valley since 1986, according to its site, which lists Bermuda Dunes, Cathedral City, Coachella, Indio, Desert Hot Springs, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Sky Valley, Thermal and Yucca Valley. Programs include private training, a group obedience class, an agility class, board and train, puppy kindergarten, swim lessons, CGC certification, service dog training and house breaking.

Behavior work

The trainer, Valerie Masi, says she specializes in aggressive behavior problems. Private training takes place in the client's home, where most behavior problems start.

Classes

The group obedience class teaches heel, sit, down, stays, sit while moving and finish, along with reading and using body language, on a praise reward system. Puppy kindergarten covers the early socialization period.
