What they offer

Time 4 Obedience teaches dog owners to train their own dogs, with classes held in Simi Valley for students from across Ventura County. Training follows the standards of the American Kennel Club's Companion Dog title, whose exercises are practical skills for daily life.

Courses

The novice course teaches owners in ten weeks to have their dog stay when told, come when called and walk politely on or off leash, and to make the right choice the first time a command is given. Puppy private lessons help new owners set a young dog up for success, and private lessons are offered both in the home and on site, along with in-home consultations for families getting a new dog. Advanced training continues beyond novice obedience, and graduates can join tune-up practice sessions.

Certification

The school offers Canine Good Citizen certifications and reports having helped more than 2,000 dogs and owners.
