About K9 Korral

Training, daycare and boarding in Sarasota

K9 Korral is a Sarasota dog care business at 2001 Princeton St offering obedience training classes, private training lessons, daycare, boarding, a Splash n' Dash dog wash and a holistic pet store. It serves Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton and describes most of its business as word of mouth and veterinarian-referred.

Training

K9 Korral Obedience Training Center was founded by its Training Director, Jeffery Andrew, who is credited with dog training experience since 1974 and a Dog Training Degree received in 1978, alongside certifications in massage, acupressure and other animal wellness practices. Group classes help dogs of all ages work toward Canine Good Citizen, learning manners, signals, tricks and games through positive reinforcement, with Basic 101 and Basic 102 levels named by clients. The staff describe a kind, flexible approach with "a toolbox of remedies" integrated into classes, built on positive reinforcement. Private lessons are available too.

What owners say

One client called trainer Mark Shambour "calm, confident, and consistent," noting his positive reinforcement training. Another wrote that after a private lesson "now we spend our time loving our dog."
