Sit Means Sit in Southwest Florida

Sit Means Sit of Southwest Florida trains puppies and adult dogs for owners in Bonita Springs, Naples, Estero, Fort Myers and nearby communities. Its training facility is at 21720 South Tamiami Trail in Estero, and the team takes dogs of any age, breed or level of difficulty. Help with anxiety, resource guarding and aggression is part of the work, including muzzle conditioning.

Programs

The Academy Training Course runs eight weeks, with three daily sessions of obedience, structured socialization and distraction training, plus weekly report cards; a la carte options are available for owners who cannot commit to the full course. Private lessons of about an hour with a certified trainer can take place at home, at the facility or out in the community. Group classes work on obedience, leash manners and communication around real-life distractions. Board & Review keeps graduates' skills sharp while owners travel and is open to existing clients only.

AKC programs

The team are AKC certified evaluators for the S.T.A.R. Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine and Urban Canine Good Citizen programs, and run a six-week Canine Good Citizen program.
