About Behavior Training For Dogs

Private in-home training from Atlantic Beach

Behavior Training For Dogs is a Northeast Florida dog training business at 1611 Linkside Dr W in Atlantic Beach, owned and operated by Susan Gillespy and founded by the late Bob Hammesfahr. It provides private, in-home, one-on-one training and cites more than 40 years of professional training and competition experience.

Method and goals

The business uses positive reinforcement to reach the behavior it wants. Training can be shaped around companion dogs, therapy dogs, service dogs and show dogs, and it can focus on problem behaviors such as aggression, anxiety and timidness. A New Puppy Package and supplemental services are offered alongside the core program, and active duty or retired military and seniors 65 or older receive a discount by mentioning it at first contact.

Service area

Sessions are available in Jacksonville, Mayport, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Palm Valley and northern St. Johns County.
