About Absolute K9 Training

Programs

Absolute K9 Training runs a board and train program at its Sorrento Valley facility in San Diego, where dogs work with professional trainers every day and owners are then taught how to keep the progress going at home. It also offers one-on-one private training, puppy training that covers obedience, house manners and socialization, and help with potty training and house soiling in puppies and adult dogs.

Behavior work

Its aggression and reactivity service covers leash reactivity, aggression toward people or other dogs and resource guarding, and starts by evaluating what drives the behavior before a plan is built. Board and train goals include on- and off-leash obedience, leash walking and recall, and impulse control.

Background

The business says it has been family-owned since 1994, is run by Mike Stone and Toni Menard, and has trained more than 10,000 dogs. Boarding is available at the pet resort and animal hospital on the same site.
