Classes in real places

Spot On Training runs small urban group classes for puppies, teenage dogs and adult dogs, and holds them in real locations such as parks, dog beaches, breweries, trails and patios rather than a training facility. The class changes location so that focus, manners, confidence and social skills hold up in different settings.

Private and specialty training

Private training gives one-on-one help to dogs that need more support before joining a class, including reactivity, high energy and behavior that feels hard to manage. For service and therapy dog goals, it offers urban classes, private lessons, public manners training and AKC Canine Good Citizen preparation.

Trainer and area

The business is led by Andrea Acosta, CPDT-KA, who says she has more than 20 years of experience training dogs in San Diego. It trains around Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Encinitas, La Jolla and Rancho Santa Fe.
