About Academy of Canine Behavior

What they offer

The Academy of Canine Behavior in Bothell has been teaching dogs to live with people since 1981, on a large property with indoor and outdoor runs and ten acres of grounds. Training starts with a free behavior evaluation. Its signature five-week board and train builds a tailored program for each dog, with training in practical situations around people, other dogs and different environments, at least three guided visits for the family, outings to stores or parks, and unlimited follow-up private lessons for the life of the dog. The program takes dogs that are possessive, aggressive toward dogs or people without a bite history, struggling with house training or short on manners; dogs that have bitten or show severe aggression go into an intensive version run by the senior staff. Boarding for dogs and cats, daycare and grooming are also offered.

How they train

Owners are taught the same methods used with their dog so the new behavior carries over at home.
