About ACC (Applied Canine Concepts LLC)

Palm City training, boarding and grooming

Applied Canine Concepts (ACC) is a dog training, boarding and grooming facility in Palm City. Gina Bishop developed ACC in 2018 and owns it with her partner Fabian Robinson, who is credited with over 35 years of professional training experience, the 2014 Working Dog FCI World Championship and the training book Back to Basics. Head pet trainer Riley Hoerzing is an ACC Certified "Clean Slate" trainer. ACC describes a philosophy of balance and respect, teaching dogs to think and problem-solve, and works with all breeds from basic obedience to complex aggression cases.

Board and train programs

Programs follow an evaluation: Golden Child (10 days, leash walking and one behavior), Be Cool Bro (2-week on- and off-leash hybrid), Dream Dog (2-week on-leash), Rockstar (3-week on and off leash, with lifetime support, 3 kennel lessons and 1 home visit), and an In-Home Experience residential program where the dog lives and trains in a real home. Tools in the 2- and 3-week programs include a leash, collar, e-collar and place bed; e-collars are paired with corrections later in training. Booking requires a $500 non-refundable deposit, and Klarna financing is available.

Other services

ACC also offers private training at home or at the facility after a package, behavior modification, puppy swimming lessons, service dogs (PTSD, wheelchair, bracing), farm dog training and online courses. Phone: 772-253-1819.
