About Ace’s Gun Dog Kennels/Ace’s Retrievers

What they offer

Ace's Retrievers is a family-owned kennel in Kiln that breeds UK Labrador Retrievers and sells puppies, started dogs and finished dogs. It also trains dogs that owners already have: its FAQ says it accepts client dogs for basic obedience, gun-dog training and advanced finishing.

Training programs

The Training page lists four programs. Obedience Training covers sit, stay and recall, distraction proofing, on- and off-lead manners and e-collar conditioning. Blood Trail Training develops a dog's tracking instincts to recover wounded game. Basic Retriever Training covers drive building, on- and off-lead drills on land and water, e-collar conditioning, and gun and bird work. Advanced Retriever Training, for dogs that have completed basic training, adds handling, hand casts and multiple retrieves in realistic field scenarios.
