About Powers K9 Dog Training

What they offer

Powers K-9 Dog Training offers private lessons at your house, scheduled around the client. The home page says a single lesson covers walking, sitting, staying close, not jumping on people, and not barking, biting or chewing, and that the lesson runs between 75-90 minutes. The site describes the business as serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast, including Biloxi, Gulfport and Ocean Springs.

How the training works

The owner writes that all training is completed without treats, using verbal and physical praise instead. The headline promise is that your dog will be trained or the lesson is free. The home page publishes its per-lesson fee and a multiple-dog discount.

Background

The home page names David Powers as the owner and describes him as a retired US Air Force K-9 trainer. It says he spent over 20 years training and handling Military Working Dogs, later worked with explosive-detection dogs as a private contractor, and carries the header line professionally training dogs since 1980.
