About Adventure Canine Training

Adventure Canine Training works across Middle Tennessee under the line "Your Adventures are meant to be shared!"

What they publish

The premise is narrower and clearer than most. The business exists for owners who want to take the dog with them – hikes in the woods, strolls through town, public events, vacations – and who currently cannot, because the dog's obedience is not reliable enough. Their stated mission is to strengthen the bond between owner and dog through exploration, play, relationship building and effective communication, using a balance of understanding genetics, finding the right motivation for that dog, and obedience training.

How the training runs

Their own framing is that teaching obedience behaviors is only a small portion of what goes into training a dog for the real world. The larger half, as they put it, is the owner learning to read the dog's body language and other key markers, so that two-way communication and cooperation become possible. From that base they expand into how the dog should behave in public, in nature and in other away-from-home situations.
