Adventure Together Dog Training offers science-based, collaborative dog coaching in Orlando and remotely worldwide. Founder and head trainer Adam Geltz started the business out of a passion for the outdoors, and says he has over 10 years of experience in animal training and behavior, including consulting with zoos and wildlife sanctuaries on welfare and training programs.

Method

The approach moves away from dominance and pack-leader models. It follows a most positive, least intrusive, effective intervention framework, gives dogs choices and rewards active ones, and teaches owners the mechanics of operant and classical conditioning, body language and environment management.

Programs

Puppy Foundations, for puppies from 8 weeks to six months, covers socialization, crate training, housebreaking, biting and chewing, and early leash and recall work. Collaborative Obedience, for dogs of all ages, covers loose leash walking, sit, down, stay, recall and impulse control. Adventure Dog Skills prepares dogs for off-leash or long-line hiking, with sessions held at local parks and trails. Custom programs address reactivity, leash pulling and separation anxiety.
