About Agile Canines Training School
Competition agility and obedience
Agile Canines Training School is a St. Louis Park dog training school that prepares dogs and their owners for fun and success in agility and obedience competition. It describes its approach as positive training, with behaviors trained thoroughly so dogs perform confidently, independently and accurately. Classes are small, held one per room, individualized for each team, and ongoing rather than running on set start and end dates.
Programs
Sports Foundations, a curriculum developed by Annelise at Agile Canines, prepares teams for agility, obedience, rally, freestyle and everyday life. Puppies four months and older can start, students usually stay 9 to 12 months, and the class is $140 for a block of six weeks. It has an 8 month waiting list, with priority for current and former students. Graduates move on to Beginning Agility, Intermediate Agility and Advanced Handling Skills, each sold in blocks of six for $125. Competition obedience classes run Wednesday and Friday evenings, therapy dog classes run drop-in style, and private lessons are available during the day Monday through Thursday. Students also get mock trials, open ring times, specialty workshops and seminars.
Instructors
Classes are taught by Annelise Allan, Lisa Hennen and August Gulden.
