About All Breed Rescue & Training

What they offer

All Breed Rescue & Training is a Colorado Springs nonprofit on East Fillmore Street that rescues dogs considered unadoptable and also runs a public training school. Classes run from puppy socialization and AKC STAR Puppy through intermediate and advanced obedience, rally, trick dog, canine freestyle, nosework and scent work, and a Showbedience conformation program with drop-in classes. Its Therapy Dog Troupe course prepares dogs for AKC therapy dog certification, with field trips to places such as nursing homes and hospitals.

Behavior and service dog work

A team of behavior specialists runs its science-based, positive reinforcement behavior modification program, and its Service Dog Owner Trainer Academy is a self-paced curriculum that prepares owner-trained teams for public access work.

Good to know

The organization has been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs since 1994, and its executive director, Lauren Fox, teaches many of the classes.
