About Always Faithful Dog & Puppy Training Louisville KY

About

Always Faithful Dog Training of Louisville is the local arm of a franchise "Founded by a United States

Marine," and its method is called Leadership Dog Training. The Louisville team page lists one person:

"Dave — Owner & Level 3 IDTA Trainer. Specialty Certification: Service Dog Trainer, Therapy Dog

Trainer."

Lessons are private and in-home, and the page states appointments are "made to suit your schedule."

Method

The headline is blunt: "No Treats, No Clickers, No Shock Collars, No Gimmicks." The organization

explains it this way:

> "The Always Faithful Dog Training method is designed to teach you the language of your dog. We call

> it Leadership Dog Training. Dogs are pack animals. As part of your pack, you want your dog to follow

> you. Our leadership-based techniques will enable you to be the pack leader."

The behaviors it targets are "Leash pulling, jumping, barking, digging, and generally not listening."

The FAQ states every Always Faithful trainer is certified through AFDT and the IDTA, that the method

works on any breed and any age, that training starts as young as eight weeks with no upper age limit,

and that anxiety cases — fear, overprotectiveness and separation anxiety — are taken.
