My four year old Pomeranian just completed training with Barb Vermilye. His biggest issue was barking. My dog came back a different dog and all for the better. It’s amazing what he learned with the training. He now listens to my commands and the barking is much less. Family and friends can’t not believe the wonderful change with Milo either. I highly recommend American Caniner.

What an amazing group of dog trainers. If you are looking to get your dog trained look no further, I chose the 2 week board and train and it was certainly needed for my French Bulldog, stubborn by nature he had some crate anxiety and house soiling issues. He came back great boundaries at the door and is still the sweetest little boy. The sessions after we’re great I leaned things he already new and although he doesn’t have any anxiety he still didn’t want to stay in the crate. Barb assured me it was not me it was the bulldog in him and stayed with me and worked each session until we could get him in the crate with ease. Extremely thankful for that. This was the best decision for my puppy and me, looking forward to our next program with them.

Barb was amazing with our pup, Murphy! We did the board and train followed by sessions. He is a changed dog. He is so much more enjoyable. We were overwhelmed by some of his behaviors and other training classes had not worked. He is much happier and so are we. Thank you so much American Caniner!

My husband and I connected with Barb at American Caniner to help us with a new rescue puppy. Our dog was exhibiting a lot of fear and separation anxiety, and walking on a leash was incredibly challenging. We opted for the boarding training package with follow up classes. After two weeks with Barb, our pups understood crate boundaries, sit/stay/down commands, and was so much more relaxed and less anxious on a leash and around other dogs. The follow up classes were detailed, intensive sessions that built up our confidence as handlers. We committed as a family to the continued training sessions and using consistent commands and have seen a huge change for the better! When we’re on training walks in our neighborhood or a local park, we often get comments on how well-behaved our dog is. 5 out of 5 stars across the board. Thank you, Barb and American Caniner!
