About Applause Your Paws, Inc.

Reward-based training in Miami

Applause Your Paws is a dog and puppy training company in Miami, founded in 2006 by Dee Hoult. It began with private in-home lessons and group classes, and its AYP Canine Training Center in South Miami opened after loyal clients pre-bought training packages. The team describes engaging, positive education and humane, non-intimidating, fear-free training, and says its trainers continue their own education.

Programs and prices

Private lessons are $149 an hour, coach the whole family and take place anywhere in Miami-Dade County. Group classes are $199 for a five-week course and help dogs practice around distractions, including puppy socialization. Boarding School is a two-week bootcamp starting at $2,399, followed by owner support. Day School combines daycare and training, with off-leash play, starting at $399 for one week. Behaviors the team works on include leash pulling, excitability, resource guarding, fearfulness, house-soiling, dog-dog and dog-human aggression, poor recall, destructive behavior, door bolting, jumping and excessive barking. Therapy work and performance dogs are welcome too.
