About Austin Dog Manners
A family-owned trainer for Round Rock dogs
Austin Dog Manners is a family-owned dog training business serving Round Rock and the Austin area. Trainer Julie Touray, CPDT, came to training from work as a veterinary technician and kennel manager, and works with puppies, family pets, service dogs and working K9s. She describes her philosophy as a mix of positive reinforcement, consistency and real-world practice, with as much focus on educating owners as on teaching dogs.
Credentials
Julie lists a dog training certification from Animal Behavior College dated 2005, and says she is enrolled in the Animal Behavior College Service Dog Certification Program.
Programs
The Premium Board & Train is the most immersive option, with the dog staying with a professional trainer for daily structured training. Private lessons are one-on-one sessions in the dog's everyday environment, best for leash manners, jumping, barking and obedience. The Puppy Management Program covers crate training, potty training guidance, early obedience and socialization for puppies under 6 months. Service dog training is also offered. Programs last 3-6 weeks depending on the program and goals, and each ends with a detailed owner transfer. Booking starts with a free evaluation.
What to ask
Ask about current program prices and how long the board and train stay lasts for your dog's goals.
