Bayside Pet Resort's Sarasota location at 8154 N. Tamiami Trail is a 22,000-square-foot pet resort and spa serving downtown Sarasota, Siesta Key, Palmer Ranch, Gulf Gate, Fruitville and nearby neighborhoods. It combines dog boarding, daycare, cat boarding, grooming and training, and for training it has indoor and outdoor obedience areas plus a 100 ft. by 100 ft. agility field.

Training

The Sarasota resort offers group and private training classes and Doggie Day School, which combines structured activities, exercise and supervised socialization. Private dog training programs use positive reinforcement and can complement a pet's stay, and Bayside describes its training as science-based techniques that make learning a fun game.

The facility

Suites range from Parkview and Atrium suites with live webcams to Deluxe, Executive and Petite suites, all with Kuranda beds. Each guest gets a daily 5 Point Health Check, veterinarians are on call, and there are separate indoor and outdoor play areas for small and large dogs. Boarding dogs need current Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations. Tours are welcome anytime.
