About Belle City Kennel Club Inc

A volunteer-instructed club in Belleville

Belle-City Kennel Club writes that it "has been a part of Belleville’s history since 1964" and that "in 2010, we officially became an AKC Member Club." Its members, the site says, "own both purebred and mixed breed dogs" and "compete in a wide variety of dog-related activities." This is a club rather than a commercial training business, and its classes are taught by its own people.

Classes and testing

"We offer several types of classes at different times of the year," the site says. "Our member volunteers instruct in conformation, obedience, rally and agility. Classes are open to all dogs; fees vary." It also says that "Canine Good Citizen (CGC, CGCA, CGCU) and AKC Trick Dog testing is done throughout the year," with testing dates posted on the club's Facebook page and website calendar.

Events

The club describes three main events a year: an AKC All-Breed Conformation Show held at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, AKC Obedience and Rally Trials held in Belleville at the club building, and AKC Fast CAT at Laderman Park in Belleville. "We also host fun matches at our club building," the site adds. The site carries pages for members, events, forms, membership, a gallery and classes, and asks that questions come through Facebook or the email address it publishes.
