About Best By Farr Dog Training

Best By Farr Dog Training publishes its address in its own page footer – 3607 Gibson Road, Durham, NC 27703 – and markets across the northern Triangle, naming Raleigh, Wake Forest, Youngsville and Creedmoor in its page titles. Its slogan is "ditch disobedience and live an ideal life with your dog."

How the services are organized

Rather than a menu of techniques, the site sorts clients by the sentence that fits them. Four programs answer four situations: a new puppy (Puppy Programs), a dog that could be more obedient and polite (Board and Train Programs), a dog with behavioral challenges (Behavior Modification), and a dog that would benefit from one-to-one work (Private Lessons). Obedience is listed as its own service area alongside them.

The founder

Chris Farr is named as founder and head trainer. The site's account is that he began in dog training and competition in 2002 and by 2004 was placing highly in obedience and protection competitions on the west coast, later competing at national level. It states he holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology, has earned multiple High in Trial obedience awards, and has titled dogs in PSA, Schutzhund and French Ring. That is described as his competitive record; the programs sold to the public are the four listed above.

How the team works

The site says Chris Farr oversees all trainers and guest dogs during training, and that every trainer completes an education and apprenticeship under him before applying the method, which is presented as the reason results stay consistent between trainers.

What the business emphasizes

Its published reasons to choose it are guaranteed results, programs customized to the individual dog, professionally trained staff, flexible scheduling set by the client, and what it calls the latest internationally approved training methods. New clients are asked to schedule a consultation.
