About Black Anchor K9

Obedience and behavior work in San Antonio

Black Anchor K9 (BAK9) is a dog training business whose home base is San Antonio, focused on customized obedience, off-leash training and complex behavior cases. Every program is built around the individual dog, and the trainers coach the person holding the leash too, so progress continues at home.

Approach

BAK9 reviews a dog's behavior, history, household and goals before recommending a level of training. Its trainers describe their approach as balanced and adaptable, using clear communication, reinforcement, structure and appropriate tools chosen for the individual dog. The team's experience runs from puppy development and everyday obedience to off-leash reliability, reactivity and complex behavior.

Services

Services include board and train programs, private training, puppy training, behavior modification and AKC certifications. Owners start by completing a training application, after which the team recommends the program that fits the dog. The office is available daily from 9am to 7pm at 210-970-5485.
