The first time we met with Ben our dog Zuko was freaking out as we hid behind a tree to avoid other dogs. At that time, Zuko couldn't be within 100 feet of another dog without lunging, barking, and having a meltdown. After 8 sessions with Ben, Zuko has now made almost a half dozen dog friends. Ben was the third trainer we tried and the only one who has able to take Zuko to the next level when it comes to comfort around other dogs. Ben is kind and encouraging. He clearly cares about animals, and the owners who care for those animals. I wholeheartedly endorse Black Paw Canine and recommend them to anyone who has a difficult pup.

Ben and Emily are incredible. Ben's knowledge around the best ways to train you and your dog for their specific breed is top-tier, and Emily makes scheduling/working with their team as easy as can be.

Black Paw empowered me with the knowledge to train both of my dogs, and to use the information I learned to support me for years after their puppy/obedience phases. Because they work with so many different types of situations, and can train beyond just a basic level, there's no true limit to what they can help your dogs with.

To top it all off, their programs are affordable and their methods are approachable, which takes the worry and anxiety out of training! They've been a big help to me both with my training, and personally.

I cannot express enough how amazing Ben and the trainers at Black Paw Canine are. My pup was very nervous and anxious when I got her, she did not walk well on leash, and she did not know any commands. It took Ben one evaluation to fix her leash walking! He is a miracle dog whisperer! Anyone that says you cant teach an old dog new tricks has not been to Black Paw Canine! They even allowed us to have a "field trip" training session in order to see my pup in an environment that made her anxious.

They are also very flexible with training schedules and respond to any questions you may have very quickly. I have emailed Black Paw Canine multiple times and gotten a response within a few hours every time. The trainers have been professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in every interaction. I highly recommend Black Paw Canine to anyone looking for dog training or looking to get to know their dog better.

Update: Since writing my review, I boarded my pup with Black Paw Canine and she absolutely LOVED it! I got pictures of her playing almost everyday. Each kennel has its own run AND the dogs are walked everyday in addition to getting play time! I would recommend BPC for boarding as well as training!

Black Paw Canine has been an amazing group to work with. Their dedication is apparent and their training methods are phenomenal and very obviously tailored to each individual dog and owner! We are currently training a previous puppy mill Dalmatian for therapy work and I am so happy with our progress in just one month. I recommend them to everyone I know for all types of training!
