About Blackheart K9 Services

Who they are

Blackheart K9 Services is a Chatsworth, Georgia training business working with owners across the Southeastern United States. It describes its job as building a working communication system between owner and dog, setting behavioral boundaries and teaching appropriate behavior while keeping the dog's own personality intact. The site says it embraces balanced training methods and that all training happens in real-world settings.

Pet-owner programs

Three core programs are published. Board and train is the one the site calls its most popular: the dog lives with its trainer in a home environment for daily training, with an owner handover afterwards and lifetime free refresher lessons for graduates. Private lessons suit owners who want to do the training themselves, with one-to-one guidance at home and in public sessions plus remote support on homework between lessons. Puppy training, for dogs up to five months, covers environmental exposure, socialization, foundation obedience, travel preparation and crate training. Advanced obedience, from five and a half months, works on reliability around significant distractions.

Behavior and specialist work

Behavioral management is offered for anxiety, fear-based behavior and reactivity, combining advanced obedience, counter-conditioning, confidence-building and management strategies. Dogs showing aggression toward humans are taken case by case, subject to program requirements and safety protocols the site describes as strict. Separately, the site lists specialized fields: personal protection and controlled aggression, odor detection covering explosives, narcotics, bed bugs, search and rescue and AKC scent work, mantrailing and tracking, police patrol K9 training, livestock herding and service dog training. It also offers to help clients source a working dog.
