The trainer

Canine Collegiate is owned and operated by a professional dog trainer with over 10 years of experience, an AKC Canine Good Citizen and S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator who specializes in service dogs, obedience and behavioral rehabilitation. Lessons on the property are taught by Alyssa, an AKC Evaluator trainer.

Training options

Individual lessons on the property ($55, weekday afternoons) offer calm, distraction-controlled learning. Private in-home lessons ($130, weekday mornings) work on behavior and obedience in the dog's everyday environment while coaching owners. The three-week Board & Train ($1,820) means daily training in the trainer's home on two private acres, with weekly parent lessons and take-home weekends. Short boarding stays can add training for $25 a night. Payment plans are available for obedience and behavior programs, which come with lifelong support.
