About Canine Precision

Dog training in Brainerd

Canine Precision is a Brainerd dog training business owned by Erin Butler, with the slogan "Better Behavior. Stronger Bond." It offers professional training aimed at reliable, confident dogs, with puppy training, obedience classes, agility training and private training, and helps owners with leash pulling and reactivity toward people and dogs.

The trainer

Erin grew up watching her parents and grandparents train and compete in retriever field trials. Through 4-H she trained and competed in obedience, agility, rally and showmanship, reaching the Minnesota State Dog Show, and after graduating out of 4-H in 2010 she became a leader for the Crow Wing County 4-H Dog Project Development Committee, training youth in all 4-H disciplines. She has competed in obedience, rally, retriever field trials, agility, nosework and FAST CAT; her Labrador Watson earned a Rally Master title, and her Belgian Malinois Nyx has titled in obedience, rally, nosework and FAST CAT. She is an AKC Evaluator for S.T.A.R. Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, Advanced and Urban CGC and the Virtual Home Manners program.
