About Canine Training Adventures

Force-free training in Sweet Home

Canine Training Adventures is a dog training school at 27058 Greenville Rd in Sweet Home, helping owners in the Albany, Brownsville, Lebanon and Sweet Home areas. Head trainer and owner Connie DeBusschere has competed in many dog sports, done therapy work and raised litters, and now helps people improve behavior with clear communication and reward-based methods.

Method

The school describes itself as force free and fear free, using positive reinforcement and reward-based, science-based methods. Students get step-by-step guidance plus lesson handouts, videos and ongoing support.

Programs

Small group classes are grouped into puppies, beginners, advanced, and fun and games, covering puppy behavior, obedience, problem behaviors and dog sports. Private lessons suit dogs that find a class setting stressful and cover basic manners, common behavior problems and shyness or fear, with a free consultation; one 45-minute lesson is $65. Online courses offer on-demand access, and the school hosts events, competitions and workshops, including scent work searches on the farm.

What owners say

One student described "a wide variety of classes (for every age of dogs) at a peaceful, beautiful location," from parkour and tricks to scent searches.
