About Cape-Able Canines

What they offer

Cape-Able Canines is a full-service dog training, daycare and boarding facility in La Mesa near the 8 and 125 freeways, serving greater San Diego and East County. Its stated philosophy is to train owners to train their own dogs, with special emphasis on socialization.

Training

The business offers all levels of training from puppy to advanced obedience, specialty classes such as intro to agility and rally, specialty workshops and problem behavior consultations. Its trainers are AKC Canine Good Citizen and S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluators and members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

Method

The site describes gentle lure and positive reinforcement methods combined with effective correction. Daycare runs on a large grass play area and boarding dogs sleep in an apartment setting with staff.
