About Cerberus K9 Training LLC

Cerberus K9 Training LLC is based in Wake Forest and serves dog owners "throughout the Triangle area and beyond." Its stated range is broad – "from puppies to protection dogs, we build the foundation for a lifetime of obedience and companionship" – and its starting principle is that "every dog is unique. Every training plan should be too."

Six formats, clearly separated

This business does an unusually good job of explaining what each format is for, which makes it easy to self-select. Private training is "most customized," with a tailored plan, basic obedience covering sit, stay, come and leash walking, work on biting, potty training and jumping, and "hands-on coaching so you feel confident leading your K9." A puppy program – included within private packages – covers potty and crate training, impulse control, socialization guidance and a structured daily routine. Day training is "for busy schedules," with the trainer working the dog during the day and "a transfer session so you learn everything your pup learned." Board-and-train is the fast-track option, with "daily structured training," a go-home lesson and follow-up support. A daily exercise service covers walks and loose-leash practice, and a virtual option offers live coaching sessions and a customized plan "from anywhere."

Method

The business describes its methods as positive reinforcement built to "build confidence and strengthen the bond between you and your K9," and it names new puppy owners as its most common starting point.
