About Charlotte the Dog Trainer

About Charlotte the Dog Trainer

Charlotte the Dog Trainer is a class-based training business, described on its own home page as "Kansas City Area Professional Dog Training" with "Classes Located in the Kansas City Northland". The page says "Charlotte has been training dogs in Kansas City for over 30 years", and gives the phone number as 816-628-6567.

Where and when

The class location is published in full: "18414 Ada Ct. Trimble Missouri (next to Smithville Lake off of Hwy W)", and the page lists the Northland towns it serves as Smithville, Kearney and Liberty. The 2026 beginner schedule is printed as "6 sessions on Mondays at 6:30pm or 7:30pm", with start dates in January, March, May, July, September and November, and the time slot chosen at registration. Advanced training classes are listed alongside the beginner course.

Teaching style

The style is stated in the trainer's own words: "My classes are taught with humor and anecdotes, along with a serious, no-nonsense approach to you being in charge of your dog." The site's slogan is "GOOD DOGS DESERVE TRAINING; BAD DOGS NEED IT!" and the stated goal is "for your pet to have a happier, healthier and safer life".

Extras

Enrollment is taken online, by email or by phone. The site also sells a single training answer – an "Ask me a training question" service listed at $7.50 – and runs a blog called Doggy Digest. The about page has never been filled in; it still carries the theme's placeholder text, so the biography above comes from the home page. Ask whether Charlotte holds a certification.
