About CloverField K9
A working dog center
CloverField K9 in Colchester describes itself as Vermont's first and only complete working dog center, with an environmental course, an extensive scent lab and a regulation size dock-diving pool. It imports, starts, trains and sells young dogs to operational homes, starting them on environmental challenges, detection, bite-work and functional obedience, and regularly hosts seminars with visiting clinicians.
Training and facilities
The scent lab supports detection training for working dogs in police or search and rescue roles and for pets as enrichment. The environmentals course builds confidence, handler communication, coordination, strength, balance and practical obedience, with mini obstacles for puppies and small dogs. The Vermont Working Dog Institute serves handlers working in public service and other experienced canine professionals. There is also a Schutzhund trial field for rent, dock diving for all levels and a regulation vertical wall climb.
Boarding rates
Limited boarding is offered to clients and service dogs who cannot safely stay in a regular kennel, as the facility was built with reactive dogs in mind. Boarding only is $75 per day, board and play is $100 per day, board and train with twice daily training with Laura is $150 per day, and the police K9 rate is $50 per day.
