About CoDa Canine
Training on seven acres in Gatesville
CoDa Canine Obedience is a dog training business in Gatesville serving the greater Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, Temple and Fort Hood areas. It has a climate-controlled facility and a fully fenced 7 acres on the owners' home property, and starts every client with a free consultation and a tour.
Approach
CoDa describes structure, communication and management as the building blocks of training: bringing structure to the dog, communicating in positive and reinforcing ways and managing behavior, then transferring those skills to the owner. Programs are customized and target jumping, leash pulling, poor recall and barking at dogs or people.
Programs
Board and train runs 4 to 6 weeks, with on-leash and off-leash packages. Private lessons take place at the facility or in a public place. The two-week puppy program covers confidence building, socialization and exposure, crate training and potty training while the puppy stays with the trainers. The day train program is usually five days spread over two to three weeks, each ending with a private lesson and homework. Pooches Play Day offers supervised play sessions with dogs of similar temperament.
What owners say
Clients name trainers Brooke and Madison. One wrote that CoDa is "thoughtful and intentional with each dog they see" and takes time to learn what each dog needs.
