About Colton Brooks Dog Training, INC.

Custom plans, built around one dog at a time

Colton Brooks Dog Training bills itself as "Dog Training made for you", with a banner that repeats three promises: custom plans made for you, over 20 years of experience, and "basic obedience, aggression, and everything in between". The site says the work is geared toward a pet's specific needs rather than a fixed curriculum.

How the training is delivered

The services block lists a 75 minute in-home session in your home or neighborhood, a five pack of in-home sessions that includes a free 45 minute follow-up session, and group classes held at Winnetka Animal Hospital and Pets4Life in Highland Park. Proof of vaccinations is required for all classes. A free phone or Zoom consultation with Colton is offered to discuss training, and the page notes in-home consultations are also available. Published rates on that page are $200 for an in-home session ("prices vary depending on location"), $225 for classes, and $900 for the five pack.

About the trainer

The site credits Colton with 20+ years of experience, says he has been passionate about working with dogs since the age of 10 and served as master trainer and behaviorist for Brooks Canine Center for over 10 years. It lists experience across serious aggression and anxiety, behavioral modification, narcotic detection, basic obedience, service dog training, therapy dog training and agility, and states he is trained in pet first aid and CPR and is a certified AKC CGC Evaluator. The footer says the business serves Chicago's north suburbs, Lake County, Kenosha County, Racine County "and everywhere in between".
