About Confident Canine Coach

Confident Canine Coach is a single-trainer Richmond business listed in the Manchester area. The site's own heading is "Positive Reinforcement Dog Trainer Richmond, VA".

An important caveat about this profile

The domain still resolves and the home page still loads, but every other page in the menu – About, Services, Private Lessons, Workshops & Seminars, What to Expect, Pack Hikes – returns a 404. The page that does load ends with the line "This is a free demo result from the Wayback Machine Downloader. It is not a complete website." In other words what is online today is a partial restored copy of an older site, not a maintained one. Everything below comes from that single page, and the program details that would normally sit on the missing pages simply cannot be read.

How they work

The method statement is unusually clear for one page. The trainer writes: "I am a force free dog trainer using Modern, Evidence Based Dog Training Methods to help you and your dog live harmoniously", and "I strive to use the kindest, Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive, methods available." The approach is framed around reading the dog rather than drilling commands – "We look at behavior as a barometer of their welfare, and provide a deeper understanding your dog's behavior and body language and what they are telling us" – and around fitting the individual dog: "I use a multi-tiered approach to treat every client and their dog as unique individuals, and provide tailored Dog Training and Behavior Consulting services according to their own needs."

Credentials

The home page carries the line "Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed", which is the trainer's own claim on their own site. It has not been checked against a certifying registry here.

What cannot be confirmed

No prices, program structures, class schedules or trainer name are readable, because the pages that would carry them are gone. A phone number and email are published on the home page.
