About Contented Canines

What they offer

Contented Canines offers dog behavior training and pet owner coaching. The home page says Colonel Tom Kelly trains and rehabilitates behaviorally challenged dogs – pulling on leash, overreacting to dogs or people, digging, jumping on guests, overexcitement and fear – to help them become well-mannered, contented members of their families, and that his training is for owners as well as dogs. The site also takes group class sign-ups.

Approach

The Services page describes a relationship-based training strategy that starts from understanding the world from the dog's point of view and uses that to influence the dog's choices, integrating key elements of the Training Between the Ears system.

Getting started

The site offers a free 30-minute phone consultation after you submit a questionnaire, followed by an in-person behavior and training assessment with immediate actions and a recommended plan.
