About Cosmic Canine

Training-led pet care in Plano

Cosmic Canine is a dog training, daycare and boarding center at 1101 Ohio Drive, Suite 101, in Plano. It calls training its core focus and builds behavior work into daycare and boarding too, so dogs are guided through calm behavior, boundaries and social skills all day. Training targets jumping, pulling, not listening, reactivity, poor social behavior, lack of structure at home, and aggression and serious behavior issues.

The founder and team

Owner Maya Jedlicka began in pet care over 30 years ago as a veterinary technician and started her formal dog training education in 2005. She is a title-winning Schutzhund (IGP) competitor and opened Cosmic Canine in 2017. The company runs a two-year dog training apprenticeship registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, through which it awards its own Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) credential, and some trainers compete in IGP at national and world level.
