About K-9 University
Training, boarding and grooming in Plano
K-9 University is a dog training, boarding, daycare and grooming business with facilities in Plano and Garland, and it has served the two cities since 1993. Founder and president Chuck Bratt started the company that year, and long-time staff include trainer and manager Andra Evans, with over three decades there, and Plano facility manager Lucas Cooksey, with the Plano site since 2013.
Training programs
The training menu covers obedience, puppy foundations, anxiety, aggression and reactive dog training, with on-leash and off-leash obedience. Its board-and-train program comes first, followed by private lessons and group classes; group sessions meet at the Plano and Garland facilities, and one-on-one in-home sessions suit dogs with specific behavior issues or anxiety in new places. Trainers use positive reinforcement and build custom plans, and boarding and training can be combined in packages.
Other services
Resort-style boarding, cage-free daycare with temperament-matched playgroups, and full-service grooming run alongside training. The Plano location's phone is 972-801-9090.
