Critter Cafe is a pet resort, grooming salon and retail store at 810 Bald Eagle Drive on Marco Island. Founded around 2002, it offers grooming, boarding, doggie daycare and dog obedience training. Nancy Nash is the owner; she started in the kennel, has been with Critter Cafe over 15 years and purchased the business in 2022.

Training

Critter Cafe describes its training methods as highly motivational, built on the belief that a dog should perform for its owner out of love and respect, not fear. Dogs should be at least 26 weeks old. The five-week Basic Obedience Training Package runs on Saturdays at the store for $395 and covers loose-leash walking with and without distractions, sit, down, stand, stay, come and go to mat. Basic Custom Training at the store costs $95 per class for owners who need to work on specifics or touch-ups, and In-Home Basic Custom Training costs $125 per class.
