About Patty Baker Humane Society Naples: Main Shelter
A Naples shelter with training classes
Patty Baker Humane Society Naples is an independent nonprofit animal shelter in Naples that has served Southwest Florida's pets and families since 1960. It describes itself as Collier County's only private animal shelter, and its main campus adoption facility and community clinic are on Airport-Pulling Road.
Training and services
Alongside adoption, the society runs training classes meant to help keep pets safe at home with their families. Its training program includes classes, New Adopter Workshops and an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class. Other services include the Yawney Family Veterinary Clinic, the Patty & Jay Baker Mobile Veterinary Clinic, crisis boarding, a foster network and the Denny Plesea Pet Food Pantry.
History
The organization was incorporated in 1960 as the Humane Society of Naples and moved into its first shelter in 1963. A gift from Patty and Jay Baker in March 2025 led to the current name. The society says it has helped more than 110,000 pets find homes.
